PENGARUH DIAMETER PORI TERHADAP PERMEABILITAS ALIRAN BIOFLUIDA PADA PERMUKAAN MEMBRAN PERMEABEL
he performance of a dialyzer in a hemodialysis device is strongly influenced by permeable membrane pores. Research on the influence of pores on mass transfer is relatively limited. In this case the study was conducted to vary the influence of pore diameter with sizes of 0.4 μm and 3 μm. Tests were carried out to determine the mass transfer, shear stress, Reynold number, pressure drop, and trans membrane pressure using NaCl and NaOH biofluids. The test is carried out for 5 minutes with a flow rate of 20 ml / minute. The results showed that the greater the pore diameter of the membrane will cause the greater mass transfer that occurs. In testing with NaCl with a pore diameter of 0.4 μm and 3 μm the diffusion coefficients were obtained respectively 4,6x10-8 m3/s and 8,43x10-8 m3/s. The same thing was obtained in testing with NaOH at diameter of 0.4 μm and 3 μm the diffusion coefficients were obtained respectively 5,61x10-8 m3/s and 6,87x10-8 m3/s. In NaOH test was obtained that the shear stess, pressure drop, and Reynold numberthat the bigger the pore diameter, then the number obtained from the test will be smaller. Inversely proportional to testing the smaller the pore diameter, then the calculation result is bigger. In the NaCl testing was also obtained the same result as NaOH, but the NaCl score is higher than NaOH
